Pontiac, a division of GM, is a producer of mid-level, high performance cars at reasonable price, mainly targetted at younger people.
No wonder that Pontiacs were many people's first car in US.
New era - new approaches concept can be seen on Pontiacs, too - at 2005, the company has decided to rebrand and rename all of its models.
Although Pontiacs are aiming smaller cars, convertibles, coupes and other cars for younger people, a SUV arena was meant to be entered with Pontiac G8 VT, which were announced for the fall 2008.
However, because of the economic crisis, Pontiac brand was discontinued by the end of 2010, with last models being built in late 2009.
