Infiniti - basic company info and current Infiniti lineup

Infiniti is Nissan's luxury brand. Initially marketed and sold in USA, its European debut is scheduled for autumn 2008.

All Infiniti vehicles are based on Nissan's FM platform (engine is placed centrally, behind the front wheels) which ensures superior stability and handling.

Well earned reputation of sporty luxury car maker, Infiniti makes sedans and coupes as well, but all have the rather aggressive sporty feel.
That and few other unique features set Infiniti apart from competition. For example, automatic driving position coordinates the mirror and steering wheel as seats are adjusted, rear wheels steer too (up to 1 degree radian) when turning etc.

Always noticed on the street, long awaited Infiniti finally becomes available in Europe as well.

Current Infiniti lineup:

  • Cars: G coupe, G sedan, IPL G coupe, G convertible, M
  • Crossover: EX
  • SUVs: FX, QX

Geneva is the stage for a concept sporty model with centrally positioned engine and hybrid plug-in drive.

FX's second generation is very succesful car, bith in US and in Europe. That's why redesign is moderate - FX got new grill and front bumper, minor dashboard changes and front seat heaters as standard equipment. AWD is standard for FX50, while FX35 can have either 4x2 or 4x4 drive.
