Acura - basic company info and current lineup
Acura, Honda's luxury brand, started in 1986, when Honda's performance vehicle branch grown enough for its own brand.
Undisputable quality was more important than design for years, which resulted in poor sales till the mid 1990s.
If luxury vehicles can be divided by how pompous they are, Acura would be at the bottom of the ladder.

New NSX is announced for the end of 2014. Recent NSX study presented at Detroit is very close to what serial one will be.
It is almost certain that new Acura NSX will be hybrid: electro engine coupled with powerful V6 petrol engine and that it will have an all wheel drive.
It's built using light materials and has a centrally positioned V6 engine.
New is sporty hybrid system SH-AWD (Super Handling All Wheel Drive) which consists of two electro engines whose role is to control front wheels, when needed.
